I've stayed here a few times because it was one of the only dog friendly places in the area. I love to travel to with our dog, George, and they treat him so wonderfully there, they get major points with me for that alone. Staff greets him enthusiastically and by name every time we walk by the desk, and even gave us a bag of treats for him. There is a walking path next to a pond and waste bags on property. Everything is clean. Staff is super friendly. The tavern has pretty good food (biggest salad ever) and drinks. Great location. If I'm being honest, though, I mostly go there for the cookies. All of that being said, let's talk about the comfort. Their beds are like getting a big hug. Between the down pillows, pillow top beds, and the heavy yet cooling comforter, I get the BEST night's sleep there. No joke. We just ordered the pillows they have for our house. We love them that much. We're considering the mattress and comforter to duplicate the experience. George, my husband, and I all give five stars. We will stay here every time we go to Burlington.

We were well into a 3-week multi-city trip. This was our first "regular" hotel, as we'd been staying in apartments. We had a deluxe king room (room 345), which was very spacious and clean. It looked onto the interior courtyard, so it was very quiet. (Note that the hotel is expanding so that construction is ongoing next door. We were not bothered by any noise in our room, due to its location.) The staff was very friendly, as is typical in North America. They also give you a free cookie when you check in (and also when we checked out!) The hotel is located near an interchange, so not a great location for the town itself. But it is within walking distance (thru the woods) of the University of Vermont, which was our main criterion for location. The hotel has a pool (which looked very nice) and gym facilities, but we did not use them.

We were here for Mother’s Day weekend. Everything was better than expected! We picked the booking with free breakfast which was a great value. Breakfast selection and food was excellent! The pool area was very nice but we didn’t use it due to some maintenance work being done. The bed was super comfortable and I rarely say that. One of the best amenities is the shuttle which you can request to go the airport, downtown and to the harbor. The drivers were super! In fact the entire staff was kind and helpful. We would be remiss if we didn’t say how good the warm, chocolate chip cookies are! I do want to mention the condition of this quaint little city: why are the city leaders allowing all the graffiti and homeless defecating and shooting up in public areas? This needs to be fixed before all is lost!

It was so helpful that shuttle picked me up from airport and took us downtown or w/in 2 miles of hotel. Really a bonus. Hotel lobby was beautiful and had that wonderful Doubletree smell. Young woman at check-in was wonderful, really went above and beyond. Didn't get her name but, college student, tall, blonde, tan. Great cust service! Older gentleman who drove shuttle was great and so friendly and helpful. Made sure I got my cookie!

The property was clean, and the service was good. Dinner at the Tavern was enjoyable, with typical bar food that was tasty but closed unusually early at 9:30 PM. The breakfast buffet in the Atrium was standard, with friendly staff, but overall, the experience felt expensive for what was served.
